The Project 'Interior Terrace' wins de 7th 'Healthy Housing' Award

The project Interior Terrace designed by students Julia Kaufmann and Linda Zimmermann wins the first prize in the 7th Healthy Housing Award, sponsored by Marjal Foundation. The jury highlighted the innovative architectural design that is based on various cubes, each one standing for a room and linked by a central cube which contributes to a self ventilated house.

The awards ceremony was held on Wednesday 3rd July, at the Museum of the University of Alicante (MUA) and was attended by the President of Marjal Foundation, Mr. Francisco Gomez, the Mayor of Alicante, Ms. Sonia Castedo, and the rector of the University of Alicante, Mr. Manuel Palomar.

Students of architecture and other disciplines of the University of Alicante, the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, University of Amsterdam and the Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin, University of Applied Sciences in Berlin have participated in this International Award for third consecutive year.

In addition to the winning project, the prize list is completed with the delivery of four special mentions to the projects Casa Xixona by Lynn Ewalts, Pedro Savio Jobim Pinheiro, Wouter Hesterman, Sven Berg and Devin Wesselius; Atrium House by Felix Heck and Robert Mischke; Living Outside-Inside by Marta Karnetzki and Frank Sünder; and Green Wine House by Bue Maali, Clement Gómez Llobell and Belén Joes.
