On 28 June 2011 took place the ceremony of the 'Competition of "Ideas for european sostenibility" organised by the Fundación Marjal and the University Miguel Hernandez of Elche, created to promote the implementation of good environmental practices in Europe. The jury chose as winner in the category of better idea of conservation, and improving the environment and biodiversity the project titled 'Burying the power lines', presented by Roberto Pascual.
The other award went to the students Davinia Martinez and Enrique Amerigo, who designed a project called 'Sustainable Adventure' in order to compete in the category of best idea to promote environmental stewardship, and corporate , in public administrations and city sustainability.
